Jittabugs Theatre School in Taunton, Wellington and Bridgwater is run by Emily Franklin.
My name is Emily and I have had a performance background since I was small. I have performed in a number of shows from Guys and Dolls playing Adelaide to Chicago playing Velma Kelly to Joseph and his techicoloured coat to Legally Blonde playing Elle. My passion is musical theatre and this is definitely the next step in not only my career but to better my life. I have not performed in the past few years due to having children, but I am now ready to get back into musical theatre and what better way to do it than teaching young children the art.
I have 2 young children and a husband. They get tired of my performing so for this to be my outlet and to let children share in the same passion means a lot to me and them.
I am a confident young woman and love the idea of seeing children grow with me and bringing out a confidence people never see in them.
I run a Ballet and boogie class which is for children aged 18 months – 5 years. This class is a fun and relaxing dance class for the children to learn basic ballet, as well as dancing with props and just having fun.
I also run a mixed performing arts class for primary school aged children. In this class the children will learn different techniques in acting, singing and dancing as well play lots of games and help to build their confidence. We put on a costumed show every year.
