Welcome to Jittabugs Theatre School

We offer Pre-School Dance classes for walking toddlers to age 5yrs and classes for school ages up to teenagers, running along our sister company Jittabugs.

Our main aim throughout is to build confidence in a fun, yet structured environment.

We are Gold accredited by The Children’s Activity Association and we members of ICAP.

Our teachers are trained in various dance styles, drama and singing , are Fist Aid trained, enhanced DBS cleared,

insured and most importantly have a real passion for passing on their knowledge and skills to the kids.

Ballet & Boogie

This class is suitable for walking toddlers to 5yrs old. We use basic Ballet techniques such as Fist & Second Position, good toes and naughty toes, plies and tendus. Along side general dance moves such as skipping, tip toes, wiggles, shakes all whilst using props and singing along to some of Jittabugs own unique music.

Even the parents can’t help but join in and sing along with the Jittabugs Cokey being a real favourite.

Pre-Mini Performers

This class is suitable for school age 4yrs to 7yrs old. The children learn the basics of Dance, Singing & Drama with the use of fun warm up’s, stretches, nice games, drama games, cool downs and our very own ‘That’s Why I’m A Jittabugs’ song.

Mini Performers

This class is suitable for for ages 6yrs to 8yrs old. The children have a more structured class than Pre-Mini’s learning how to warm up and stretch their bodies and voices ready for the class content. They learn various styles of theatre and get to sing using microphones. They are often invited perform at fetes and events. Badge works available but not compulsory with The International Dance Rewards Scheme.

Performers for Juniors & Seniors

This classes suitable for ages 8yrs upwards. The children learn all the basics of the Mini’s class but with more content and to a more advanced level. Putting Dance, Singing and Drama together in Musial theatre practice.

The children put on a yearly production in a theatre with lights, sound and costume. They get the real experience of being a performer. They can also take pertain Musical Theatre badge work with The International Dance Rewards Scheme. This class is where they get a real chance shine and audition for solo parts in our yearly show and fetes and events.
